This was a very challenging key to get just right. I was asked to make a traditional Crimson Omen key as well as a unique Phoenix Omen with a transformational swarm theme. I knew modelling and printing the veiny parts for the Phoenix Omen just wouldn't cut it so at first I tried using some fishing line but it was too thin. Next, I tried to coat the fishing line in UV resin to thicken it but that didn't look right either. I was finally able to find some model contour putty that allowed me to get veins off varying size.
